Job summary/Role description

 

Preservation Engineer (MPE) cooperates with the Construction, Material Control and Logistics groups to assure the timely and appropriate preservation of materials and equipment once received at site. MPE operates in compliance with the specifications, procedures, quality requirements and health/environmental/safety regulations during the course of activities.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Coordinates preservation (and de-preservation as necessary) of materials and equipment in compliance with vendor and project and specifications and procedures;
  • Requisitions preservation equipment and tools as necessary;
  • Prepares and issues preservation reports as required by the Field Engineering Manager;
  • Initiates and maintains preservation recording;
  • Requests, as necessary, relevant Permits to perform preservation activities.

 

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications
  • University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.

Experience
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a specific discipline;
  • Similar role covered in projects that are of a comparable size;
  • Experience working on Contractor side.

Skills and Abilities
  • Significant experience in a similar position
  • Fluent English;
  • Excellent IT and analytical skills;
  • Excellent communications, team-oriented and interpersonal skills;
  • Attention to details;
  • Self-motivation and direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
