Job summary/Role description
|
The Project relates to the
implementation of a new Urea and UAN (Urea Ammonium Nitrate solution) plant
in Gemlik, 125 km south of Istanbul, Turkey.
The plant will have the
capacity of 1,640 MTPD of Granular Urea and 500 MTPD of UAN and will run on
the market leading urea technology of Stamicarbon, a fully owned subsidiary
of the Maire Tecnimont Group. The Scope of Work concerns the execution of
engineering, supply of all equipment and materials and construction and
erection works.
Commissioning
Machinery Superintendent, CMT supports the Commissioning Manager in the
activities of planning, execution, documentation preparation and hand over to
the Client of the facilities as per project requirements. He ensures at site
the implementation of the procedures

Duties and
responsibilities
|
- Coordinate and supervise
the Construction support activities during the performance of the
pre-commissioning, commissioning activities.
- Ensure that quality
standards and safety procedures are being followed by commissioning staff,
including adherence to work permit requirements.
- Review the
pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures for all rotary, reciprocating,
static equipments & Packages.
- Develop new or review the
existing inspection forms for the pre-commissioning and commissioning
activities pertaining to Mechanical activities.
- Define the detailed
procedures with the supervisors; ensure that all activities pertaining to
Mechanical discipline are covered by relevant procedures.
- With reference to the
general pre-commissioning schedule system wise prepare the detailed program
for all the mechanical items.
- Define the daily
activities and develop the day by day planning following the priorities agree
with the Commissioning Superintendent;
- Monitor and ensure that all
pre-commissioning and commissioning activities are carried out according to
stated procedures and agreed schedule;
- Assign the tasks to the
supervisors/assistants;
- Support the CMS and
cooperate with the other Commissioning discipline Superintendents (electrical,
instrument) in order to complete the pre-commissioning and commissioning
activities to allow a smooth hand-over of the project within the target dates
and priorities defined with the Commissioning Manager.
- Report and update on the
progress of the activities.
- Liaise with Client Project
Team, Project Management, Subcontractors, Vendors Representatives.
- Propose to the
Commissioning Manager and CVC the needs for mobilization of Vendors
specialists. Organize and follow up in field all the activities required to
implement the Vendors requirements and activities at Site.
- Support the Vendors’
specialists in the execution of the job and coordinate their actions with the
Commissioning supervisors.
- Ensure availability of
commissioning spares and consumables for the execution of activities.
- Assist the QA Site in
completing the handover system dossiers providing all the required
certification in accordance to the Inspection Test Plan and certification
matrix.

Person Specification
Knowledge &
Qualifications
|
- University Degree or
Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent;
|
Experience
|
- Relevant experience in
construction/modernisation of large Petrochemical plants/ EPC projects;
- Minimum 5 years’
experience in the specific discipline;
- Similar role covered in
last three projects of comparable size;
- Experience working on Contractor
side
|

- Native Turkish speaker;
- Fluent English;
- Excellent IT and
analytical skills;
- Excellent communications,
team-oriented and interpersonal skills;
- Attention to details;
- Self-motivation and
direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem
