Job summary/Role description

The Project relates to the implementation of a new Urea and UAN (Urea Ammonium Nitrate solution) plant in Gemlik, 125 km south of Istanbul, Turkey.

The plant will have the capacity of 1,640 MTPD of Granular Urea and 500 MTPD of UAN and will run on the market leading urea technology of Stamicarbon, a fully owned subsidiary of the Maire Tecnimont Group. The Scope of Work concerns the execution of engineering, supply of all equipment and materials and construction and erection works.

HSE Loto Coordinator verifies and ensures that all Field activities are performed according to the Company HSE Policy, the regulations, standards and procedures, promoting all preventive and corrective action as required.

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Develops series of controls and documentations based on procedure to mitigate hazards which include:

o   Shutting down equipment

o   Isolation from all energy sources

o   Preventing release of potentially hazardous energy while work activities are being performed

  • Interacts and reports to HSE Manager / Construction Manager
  • Utilizes contract documents and drawings to identify the energy sources for the assets to be locked and tagged out
  • Visits the work areas of the facility to locate the assets
  • Gathers appropriate information for locking out and tagging out the asset
  • Writes lockout / tagout practice or procedure for the asset
  • Identifies lockout points using the electrical single line and three-line diagrams
  • Identifies lockout points using the mechanical & plumbing drawings
  • Identifies lockout points using power distribution panel drawings and legend
  • Identifies lockout points using the P&IDs
  • Identifies lockout / tagout procedures for project equipment and systems
  • Writes the LOTO updates on procedure using the Contractor’s template format

 

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.

 

Experience

  • Relevant experience in construction/modernisation of large Petrochemical plants/ EPC projects;
  • Possesses a familiarity with OSHA construction regulations and lockout requirements;
  • Good understanding of mechanical, electrical and plumbing drawings;
  • Strong subcontractors and construction/commissioning management experience in EPC project, Large/XL plants;
  • Good understanding of tracking job progress and formal reporting;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the specific discipline;
  • Similar role covered in last three projects, of comparable size;
  • Experience working on Contractor side

  • Excellent communications, team-oriented and interpersonal skills;
  • Attention to details;
  • Self-motivation and direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
