Job summary/Role description

Administration Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day function of accounting department as requested by the Accounting and Finance Coordinator as well as responsible for the processing and updating of financial information by maintaining accounts and preparing reports to support to Financial Statement preparation.

Duties and responsibilities

·       Perform G/L Accounting entries

·       Account and manage vendor’s invoice

·       Reconciliation of transitory accounts

·       Reconciliation of balance sheet Accounts (including Client and vendor)

·       Analyses on G/L Account in pre-closing phase

·       Execution and/or verification of end period accruals

·       Assistance to Financial Statement and General Accounting HoD in keeping updated records

·       Manage fiscal task liaising with AFC Coordinator and external advisors

·       Responsible to submit any issues arising during the performance of the activities proposing, whenever applicable, alternative solution or ideas.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

·       University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.

·       Knowledge of Turkish Financial regulation, accounting standards and practice is required

·       Sound knowledge of Turkish Tax Compliance

Experience

  • The ideal candidate will have experience of working at Accountant level with strong general accounting experience;

  • 5 years of experience in accounting discipline;

  • Working in an international and matrix organization is highly required;

  • Experience in SAP Accounting Systems

Skills and Abilities

  • Native Turkish speaker

  • Fluent English

  • Excellent IT and analytical skills

  • Great knowledge of Excel on advance level

  • Attention to detail, excellent communications skills

  • Strong interpersonal, team-oriented skills, self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution

  • Ability to work alongside the senior management team as well as the wider business

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
